Gunupur (Rabindranath Mohapatra, TCT) For the upcoming Panchayat elections, BJD starts its prep?arations. Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, newly appoint?ed Rayagada district observer visited Gunupur in Rayagada district and held a workers’ conference. Atanu, along with party workers from various pan?chayats in Gunupur, Padmapur, Gudari and Raman?guda blocks of Gunupur constituency has attended the meeting. The BJD has always been concerned about how the welfare scheme of the state gov?ernment will reach out to the people and how the general public can benefit from the scheme. “The party is ready for all kinds of elections in the com?ing days,” Atanu said. Tribal Welfare Minister Jagannath Sarka, Gunupur MLA Raghunath Gamang and District BJD Presi?dent Sudhir Kumar Das, District Secretary Gagan Acharya and Biju Chhatra Janata Dal district presi?dent Bishnu Panda were present during the visit. As BJD lost Rayagada constituency and the Koraput MP seat in the 2019 general elections so they are fo?cusing on these areas for upcoming panchayat polls.
